Hi, This is my second Post. First I would like to thank everybody involved for having such a great site. I have been watching it for a while before I decided to join.

Has anybody noticed that the SciFi chanel guide on Dish is all wrong on Tuesday evening. I was trying to record Eureka on My new VIP622 and it recorded some other show. The guide is very much different then on the SciFi web site for tonight and next Tuesday night.

I noticed that, too. The information on NASA channel was wrong as well. I guess this can happen from time to time?

this is happening more often now. Not only on scifi but other channels as well. Tribune is just an unreliable company when it comes to guide data. I really hope that some gets into this business and kick them in the butts.

There are a number of possible reasons for bad guide information. SciFi might not have sent the updates to Tribune. If the updates were sent, then Tribune may not have updated their information (unlikely). Assuming Tribune did update, then the updates either did not get to Dish in time for your nightly guide download, or Dish's systems missed out on the updates.

You can check Tribune's own TV listings site for another view of Tribune's data. In the past, I have noticed differences between what's there and what Dish is showing for schedules. I have noticed though that it only seems to be updated daily on the website.

SciFi is bad about keeping a consistent schedule for any of their non premiere shows.

I spotted a really screwed up example of bad guide data tonight on Comedy Central. Normally, Drawn Together runs on Thursday nights. This week they're running it tonight after South Park. But my timer didn't record it even though it's a new episode. Why? I can only assume that it's because the original air date is listed as the 15th, even though today is the 14th! (It's also listed at its normal time tomorrow night. I guess I'll find out tomorrow night if it's airing then too. Comedy Central is about the only thing that can compete with Sci-Fi in the idiotic scheduling arena.)
