SC in South Florida

Maybe someone can assist me on this.
Im looking to add SC. I live in Coral Springs Florida. Just north of Ft Lauderdale.

Where can I buy the equipment? I already have Dish Network. I have a direc dish not in use. Can I use it?

Im looking for a HD DVR. After speaking with SC, they told me I need to have a Canadian address. I dont have one. Is there a way around that?
Also, since Im not equiped to set up my own setup, are their companies
that would hook up SC not affiliated with Dish or Direc.

How would you compare SC to dish and direc tv?

Any deals on used recievers?

I remember reading about some company that will take care of the address issue.. and I know I can hit the satellite (though since I don't have a box I haven't reconnected there)

You can't use the direct or dishnet dish since SC uses a different type of lnb.

You can get your equipment from them, as well as brokerage service for setting you up with a canadian address.

As for the install, I'm sure someone else may know of a company in your area.

How would you find a brokerage service? Also, do they sell the equipment?

Stuart, know it very well! Nice place, not as crowded as Coral Springs.

Had the install last week. Found a guy who would do it for 125 bucks.

Not bad since Canamsatlite recomended a place that wanted to charge me 300? The lady who owned the place told me the signal was s tough to find.
Therefore it would be 300 dollars. Thats insane.

Im not so good at the hookups or else I would have tried to do it myself.

Since I have some other providers, its kind of a mess with all the connections.

The signal is between 88 and 90! Picture is great. I have a 505. No dvr really bummed about it.

Canam would not sell me a 535 because they said its a bad unit. Im lost withoout the dvr.

Still considering gambling on a 535.

Anyplace in Canada have great deals on one? Will ship to the states?

Anyone have any success with it?
