satwork3688 questions?

2 questions,
1st.has anyone cracked open their 3688 to see if it is possible to put an ac3 plug on the system. all my paper work says the receiver is capeable of handling ac3 but there is no line out for it.

2nd I was told that it will also receive 4.2.2 signals, but all i get on screen is pixilated mess. is all i need a hd monitor? or am i missing somethng here?

I have heard that on the back, inside the 3618 there is an orange RCA out let for AC3, but you would have to drill a hole to use it. I have not verified this, nor will I. If that is true it seems like the 3688 would have one, since it is an upgraded model.

I thought the audio PIPD was 0 for the AC-3 channels on the Satworks

Ok, i pulled off the cover on the 3618, no plug, nor any way to connect one unless you can find the proper traces on the PCB (printed circuit board). Audio pid on an AC-3 channel is 8191, ie: a null value.
