Since there are always several games scheduled early on Saturday afternoon so they can be broadcast outside the FOX zone and these games are available on RSNs, I believe the blackouts on Directv are not mandated by MLB but are done entirely by DTV. I understand the blackout rule if a team in your home area is on, but if they are not these games SHOULD be available to subscribers.

You are INCORRECT sir.

MLB has the call on ALL games in the Saturday time slot, I know it's stupid, but it is what it is ... the afternoon games would have to be OVER before 4 pm from the way I understand it.

D* has nothing to do with it.

Thank you for sending your email.

We are only able to answer questions regarding the blackout restrictions for MLB.TV. Unfortunately we have no information on cable or network blackouts of Major League baseball games.

Please keep in mind that whether games are broadcast locally or nationally or not, the rights to broadcast are owned and must be protected even if the rights holders choose not to broadcast the games.

Please feel free to call our customer support toll-free at 1-866-800-1725 if you have further questions or concern. Thank you again for taking the time to write. Your tracking number for this transaction is 7378541.

Sincerely,
