Charlie: Compression today is 10:12:1, For every 5 standard channel you get 1 hd channel. Mpeg 4 improves those metrics, different modulation schemes can improve it, and power can improve it also. 1/2 dozen variables. Today with sats we run 2 hd channels per TP with mpeg for its considerably more

I wonder how they came to those letters to represent Echostar Corp? They don't seem to be the alphabetical representation of their company.
