SATS Earnings Call Thread.

Carl: There are plenty of people looking for an MPEG4 IPTV solution. Were looking to sell set top boxes as theres an opportunity there, allong with intergrating DVR technology. Were looking to expand our subscriber base beyond dish.

SATS is looking to expand FSS service, they have goverment contracts, looking to expand to teleco's and other markets. They belive that the current FSS providers cant expand the current satellite services where Sats can.

Transponder compasity is in sec. 10K.

Charlie: FSS compasity is cheaper than DBS compasity, and It depends on orbital slots. Where DBS has 9 degree spacign and FSS is every 2.

Sling question

There are plans to integrate Sling technology into dish boxes, and have interest with other operators. As announced at ces. Looking some time this year.

SAT'S TR50 is a revenue opportunity.

AMC 14 is being leased to Dish, Launches in March. 2nd Launch is CMB Sat. For Chinese customer. Used for video in China. Still waiting regulatory approval expected to Launch this year.

Charlie: We have excess compasity in FSS service. Dish has some Capacity not long term that presents and wont free up.

How does sats compare to DTV

Charlie: we dont do the same thing. As far as settop boxes we could do something, also if they they need Capacity we can sell some to them if they needed, but with them launching a new satellite later next month we dont think they need any but if they wanted to purchase space we are willing to work with DTV.

Carl: Most cable head ends are using Cband Capacity now where as we are using the KU band.

Charlie: Sats is interested in providing video in a video ip format as we do to many MDU, or Rural teleco. It didn't make allot of sense to build new up links for VIP TV when we already have them in Gilbert and Cheyenne.

Ground block inside, ok??

Is Dish a Good company?
