Satmex 7 will launch in late 2014 or 2015, it has not even been built by Boeing yet. Satmex 8 is scheduled to launch later this year. The numbers are out of whack because of the way companies begin project and something gets shelved for a while.

Bottom line is there will be a new satellite later this year.

Maybe that "new" receiver can blind scan a 1000 channels on Satmex 7 like it did on the current SatMex birds :D
