Channels 5300-5354 now contain mirrors of all the non-Voom HD channels with MPEG4 tags with the exception on The Science Channel. They are all in a new, unknown package and available (hidden unless you subscribe to that package). My guess is... HD Only package warming up?

See ya

Wait.
So does this mean that they are sucking up what little capacity they have for new HD with mirrors of old HD?![]()
Is this indicative of the last MPEG2 HD Nationals being eliminated "soon" and requiring anyone still using 811, 921, 942 to finally have to upgrade them if want to watch HD ?
Are some of the 110 Sat HD Nationals still MPEG2 (TNT,HDNet,?). Is this uplink indicative of them being eliminated "soon" and requiring anyone still using 811, 921, 942 to finally have to upgrade if want to watch HD ?
Just think what we could have if every Sub owned or leased a MPEG4 receiver. Is there any data out there that shows how many MPEG2 receivers are being used compared to MPEG4?
Thanks Digi, got all excited this morning when I saw a change so early. Hope there is another tomorrow. Would love to watch SG Atlantis in HD![]()
They all point the the same tp on the sat. No extra capacity used.
The report does show all of them in MPEG4. I thought all current HD's on 110 were still MPEG2 (TNT, ESPN)?

They flagged the type as MPEG4 so only the MPEG4 receivers can see the package when you subscribe. Read back starting at TNGTony's post on 1/31.
http://www.satelliteguys.us/1211686-post31.htmldigiblur: are you periodically checking the throughput on the USAHD and SCIFI HD? Do you expect there to be anymore changes this week?
Yeah maybe we will something tomorrow or sometime next week but looks like this coming month could be busy.
Damn, you beat me to it....
