FYI - Don't unplug the power before registering the first update.I bricked it installing the update. Unplugged the power before I registered the first 3.1 update... corrupt NAND = no joy.

Well then. It will exceed your expectations.I doubt Revue will ever see ICS. I expect a cobbled together 3.1 experience, and then another new round of hardware to accompany another software revision that isn't compatible with this initial offering.
as an fyi, wired is reporting that the honeycomb update will start streaming October 30.
here's the obligatory link.

I think it's a million times better than the original. Better looking. Easier to navigate. More functionality. The ability to add apps is HUGE. DD5.1 in Netflix is HUGE. Customizable Home Screen is HUGE.The Sony Google TV boxes will get the update first, with the Logitech Revue boxes getting the update sometime later.
I have been running the update for awhile now and got to admit I still dont like it.

- Additional provider charges may apply

Google and Sony TV have announced the release of a new version of Google TV that is not yet available to customers with the Logitech Revue. If a Logitech Revue customer calls to inquire as to when this update will be available, please advise them that while there is no official release date from Logitech, they should expect to see it by the end of November.
Is there any new Logitech Google TV hardware on the way in 2012 or are they sticking with this version of the Revue?
I dont see any coming. All testing of the new software was done on Logitech Revues. Is there any new Logitech Google TV hardware on the way in 2012 or are they sticking with this version of the Revue?
No. It will happen. There have been too many Honeycomb betas on the Revue for it not to happen. (The few you read about on Engadget and eslewhere doesn't come close to the actual number of SW updates pushed out to official beta testers.)never. until it happens it is never.
has anyone here received the update yet? if so, can you post your initial impressions?
thanks!
