Come on, Dish, I met you half way: I now have a ViP Household, so can we have external USB drive support on the ViP622 for the holidays? Please, Santa Charlie?

It makes no sense for the DNS fiasco to have stopped development on the 622 USB storage. After all, what have E*'s programmers been doing for DNS? Have all E* employees been sitting around with their hands to the sides of their heads, moaning and groaning for the past 6 weeks?

I've decided to build my own HTPC to get around this storage restriction stuff. Given the new models for delivery, DISH and DirecTV are working on borrowed time anyway. HTPC's are the future.
