No. In fact, the DP Twin is recommended.Would this have any problem being paired with a DPP33 though?

Wrong answer. The DP Twin works fine with the DPP33. The DPP Twin does not.No. DPP switches negate the switch inside the LNB.
UPDATE:
Replaced the original switch with a new one. Everything has been working fine now for a few days (knock on wood). So it seems it was an issue with the DPP33.
Thanks again for all the help.
Hmmm, faulty switch. Did you have problems replacing the switch where you bought it?
Update: There is a post here that indicates a DPP33 installation in July 2008.The DPP33 has been around since at least October 2008.
