I installed my SG2100 this afternoon & started searching for a couple of satellites - I have IA5/6, AMC3/4/6 so far, all with very good quality reception.
I have a couple of questions though:
1) for satellites that are not in the receiver (e.g. Galaxy10R), I'll have to add it myself. But how do I figure out the transponder settings? Is there a 'simple' list somewhere of all transponders by satellite & their settings? I can get a great deal of info from www.lyngsat.com but those lists are sometimes confusion (how about a transponder '1U'? I can't enter that...; or a transponder that shows up with multiple frequencies? I can only enter 1 set of values per transponder)
2) must the transponder settings be entered 'in sequence'? I mean in the setup menu I cannot enter e.g. transponder 17 until I have set up 1 through 16. Seems like the transponder number doesn't really matter, as long as the frequency, polarization and SR are entered correctly?
