One of the best shows ever. You must listen to this. Yes at first kind of boring but toward the end it get great. Here is a taste and I usally don't post it here:
Tonight on Satellite Nation I was joined by Joe from FridgeFTA Forums as special guest co-host. Regular host Dave managed a call in and live report from a cruise. Joe and I covered a range of topics including new Amazon VOD Airplay functions, the new Amiko Nano HD and even some “Breaking Bad” analysis and commentary. Surprise call in guests included a woman with a 30+ count and growing dish farm (who also is a broadcast professional) and an avid hobbyist with a dish farm from Michigan. Guest discussion ranged from 8x1 dish farm switches to the GDMX mux to Pathfire content delivery. Also concrete news that ThisTV will go scrambled as of November 1st.
On this episode other than the normal Michael and Dave chat about anything and everything; we had Brian Gohl on. He is a veteran in the satellite community. Most of you know him and we very much enjoyed having him on the show. I want to say congratulations on him getting married. Brian also hinted that he has something to announce in a week or two on the show, so looking forward to that. He said it was huge so can't wait to find out.
In the episode Dave and I ramble on about all sorts of topics. We even get off track talking about Sleep problems, but it is good to listen to as Scott the sites owner has been dealing with this issue. He tells everybody what is happening. He also spills a few rumors so it is a great listen!
Last week due to some conflicts Satellite Nation did not air, instead my co-host Dave did a 2 hour special show called Sputnik. In the show he explains the basics of FTA and lots lots more it was truly a great show. Dave did and excellent job!
Brian Gohl of Titanium Satellite joined us for a talk mostly about switches and how they work. We got deep and it was awesome!!!
If you ever wondered how or why these switches do what they do this is a must listen!!!!
Brian has been in this business for years, not just as a business man but as a Hobbyist by heart. Everything he touches is well almost gold, so if he speaks about something it is well worth a listen.
Fantastic show tonight! We had Joe from FridgeFTA join us for a few to talk about the Amiko Nano, and a new version of the Amiko Alien 1 with a new chip-set.
Also Scott joined in to tell us some of the Main prizes for the SatelliteGuys holiday party.
We also had Brian Gohl join us, to talk about Titanium Satellite and his Products coming out.
Also Brian talked about the DVB-T tuners for USB and it can let you have a poor man’s spectrum analyzer for Satellite, but has many uses. This is the SDR receiver or Software Defined Radio.
