I am seeking advice on what kind of satellite interner provider to us on a emergency command unit to use. The dish needs to beable to be set up with alittle training and be linkup fairly quick without phone call. It will be a backup for wireles internet. If it works well enough it may become primary use. Any help with this will greatly welcomed.

Press a button on the Magellan MSS and 3 to 7 minutes later your computer(s) will be browsing the Internet at high-speed. The Magellan MSS (Mobile Satellite System) is manufactured by Ground Control as a self-contained, automatic pointing, wireless hotspot, mobile satellite Internet system that requires little or no training to operate. Simply park your Vehicle/Truck/RV/Trailer, touch a button, and the dish will deploy and lock on signal automatically. As long as you have a view of the southern sky, you can connect 1 or all of your computers to the mobile network. Broadband download speeds average between 400 to 2000 Kbps and upload speed between 50 and 500 Kbps more. Your vehicle may be located anywhere in North America. Coverage Map

Ground Control has been a leader in supporting mobile satellite Internet services on the Direcway platform for years. Today, we manufacture the Magellan MSS so now you can buy the equipment, monthly service, and support from the same company. Ground Control provides a U.S. Based 24-7 phone support on our mobile equipment and Internet service.

Now available in 2 dish sizes. The .95 meter system (shown above) allows for faster speeds than the smaller .74 meter system. Standard mobile Internet access fees start at $79.99 to $99. more

DO NOT TRY TO USE WILDBLUE FOR THIS IF YOU HAVE A VAST COVERAGE AREA NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE TELLS YOU!!!

:wave i second that! they are the best for your situation. its run by direcway/hughesnet. they even have special government programs for exactly your situation. if you add a vonage phone adapter you would also have a satellite telephone! all very secure and capable of running of a generator in any situation any where! good luck!
