I just rented an apartment in Tijuana and do not have residence in the States right now. I have read the threads about having US satellite in Mexico illegally and all that and distance is not an issue in Tijuana. In any event, I know that I have seen ads in Mexico for Direct TV and Dish network. Are these legal or what? I will probably get some Mexican cable or satellite, but I would still like a US satellite system with DVR also. What is the deal? Can I do this?

Most likely you will only be able to subscribe to Mexican cable or Sky Mexico (Satellite). I hope you speak Spanish or else that site is hard to navigate.
