Satellite Equipment Question

Hi ~

I came here looking for information and I can't find a forum that addresses my specific question?

We are recent SkyAngel subscribers with a now perfectly useless (to us) DISH satellite and receiver. Would we be able to use our equipment to receive satellite TV from another source such as GloryStar? If so what would it take? Not looking to "steal" signals, just trying to decide what to do with the equipment. We just paid high $$$ to get high speed wireless internet in our rural area and can't afford another "system" to get satellite TV/Radio programming. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Your equipment will only work with Dish Network service. For GloryStar or anything else you would need different equipment.
