DISH Network and Direct TV both reached an agreement Friday with Comcast to carry Comcast SportsNet West beginning with Saturday night's Kings' game against the Phoenix Suns.

Terms of the agreement were not available. DISH Network had been showing Kings games this season on a game-by-game basis.

Comcast SportsNet (CSN in The Bee's TV listings) will be available to subscribers in the central California, southern Oregon and western Nevada regions.

Besides the Kings, CSN will broadcast the WNBA's Sacramento Monarchs, UC Davis, Sacramento State, Cal, Stanford and other Northern California sports events.

They still needs to make Sunday Ticket without any black outs. Scence you're paying for it like premium channels, every games shouldn't be blacked out for any reason.

I hate the NFL and local networks channels for that!!

Make it all local affiliates. They are the ones that twist arms to make sure their Network lays out a blackout rule that the NFL and your DBS provider are forced to follow. It is very similar to how they get their petty way when it comes to the network broadcasts, and not allowing users to choose how they receive the network signal, or to grant waivers when they are in order. Its an illegal monopoly.

Any idea what the hold-up was in the deal? Or if other Comcast Sports Net regions are up for negotiation? Looks like Philly is still on the outside looking in.
