satellite 99 b - 103a 103b

i just installed slimeline with my new hd plus and my hd plus doesent pick up 103 a

and my regular direct hd doesnt pick up 99???


on the plus hd i get all 101 - 110- 119 -99b - 103b

what could be wrong!!?? please help
asap what do i do!!??

103a and 99b are spotbeam satellites. If you aren't near the spotbeams, you won't get anything. What is your zip code?

its odd on my regular hd reciever from direct tv i get all 101 - 110 -119 -103 and 99 says failed

on my hd plus dvr i get 110 -110 -119 -99b - 103b but 103a failed
what the hell do i do what can i do!!!

103b is the new satellite that is available across the country. That's what CONUS means. Your local channels are on 103a, which is spot beamed. 99b isn't available in your area, so you won't show any signals from it. 99a hasn't been launched yet.

Are all your receivers setup for 5 lnb dish? That was my problem with my newly installed HR20. The installer setup my receiver for a 3 lnb syetm instead of a 5 lnb so I wasn't getting 99 or 103. Just a thought,,,

103a should have the spot beam LIL's .. Bottom line question, are you missing any channels you pay to get?

Two questions....1. Which 103 are you talking about on your second receiver 2. Did you read my answer in post #5?

What model receiver is it?

the hd dvr plus is one that gets or shows 99b ok and 103 b ok but 103 a failed

and the regular hd reciever shows 99 failed but 103 ok ..

both recievers are brand new from direct

The H20 will show 103a, 103b and 99b. There is no 99a yet. IIRC, the H20's don't show anything for 99b until the new software is downloaded. Reset your receiver through the menu, then as soon as it starts rebooting, hit 0 2 4 6 8 on the remote and it will download the latest national software. Like I said, you aren't near the signals for 99b, so it will not register anything.

Last chance. If you are getting your local hd channels, then you are getting 103a. Good luck.

I also cannot get local hd channels in zip 96124. All satellites are in the upper 90's except 103a where a few transponders come in at around 36. In my other location 95401 I get the hd locals no problem. Is that because of the spot beam not available in 96124?
