I have SuperDish 105. I want to pick-up satellite 121 with it for international programming. What do i have to do in order to pick-up satellite 121? Do i have to change the skew angle the opposite way or do i have to switch around the LBN ? Thanks in advance. :)

you need superdish 121 to pick up international channels on satellite 121. a superdish 121 will pick up satellite 121 and 110 and 119 for regular dish programming.

What do you mean, you can't use a 121 superdish to pick up 105????????? THe FSS lnbs are the same. You could use the 121 superdish to pick up 105 but you would have to have a dish 500 to pick up 110/119

The 105 FSS lnb is aimed right down the middle of the superdish. Just aim it towards 121. It would make the 110/119 lnbs unusable on it though.

If you go with BrettTRay's suggestion then you wou have to remove two cables from the DP34 switch and connect another dish500 to them. Then repoint your 105 superdish to 121 location.

Bare in mind that 105 is probably needed for locals off satellite so you will loose them if you move the dish. I'd suggest getting a separate 30-36 inch with a dishpro series FSS LNB and aim that at 121. You'll need to replace the DP34 with a DPP44 switch. This install would be rather expensive because the switch cost nearly $200 plus the expense of the single large dish for 121. See if dishnetwork can do the install cheaper.

Another option would be to see if dish will allow a swap, 105 superdish for a 121 superdish, but you'll be giving up locals. They may do it if you commit to internationals for at least a year.

Just get the 121 LNBF feed assembly if you have a Type I SuperDISH (metal). The LNBF feed assembly has the 121 and 119 LNBF in one so all you'll need to do is put in the DP Dual LNBF from your current 105 LNBF feed assembly for the missing 110 signal.

there isn't, I think what jergenf was saying was to just get the lnb and the feedhorn from the 105 superdish and then buy a 30" dish and put it on the dish. I have a 30" dish and I did the same thing. The Feedhorn was a slight bit slimmer but there are many feedhorns that you can buy that are large enough to work on the feed holder and will match up with the lnb. I also have a 1.2 meter Channel Master Dish that I put a FSS DP Lnb on that came off a superdish that matched up great with the original feedhorn.

worth it to keep hdtv package
