i know this sounds a bit peculiar but ill still go ahead and ask, do any of you know any cable box models (motorola, arris, comcast, samsung etc...) or sat receivers (dtv etc..) that have a DEDICATED ota tuner (ntsc or ATSC) and does not require an sat connection or service? Tivo is out of the question as looking for one with lifetime is just.... yeah.. and the reason not for a dish receiver is due to this location does not have a dish sat, but does have a slimline 3 reverse band sl3s LNB but its on the roof... with that said, I'm basically looking for a cable/ sat receiver that can act as a tv tuner to relive some 2000s nostalgia and so i can use it on my 19 inch Samsung Bordeaux TV from 2006 .

A DTV Pal Plus Receiver Digital-to-Analog TV Converter Box would work.

They sell them on ebay.

Why not just use an ATSC/NTSC digital converter with your Samsung?
They lack a certain nostalgia that the TS is expressly chasing after. Otherwise, a 19" TV in a wide-screen HD world makes no sense.

I'm a little surprised that any 2006 TV doesn't support DTV.

Amazon is currently offering a 32" HD Fire TV with LED backlight for $89.99.

yeah indeed, before 2008 every tv samsung made under 26 inches was analog only, this one doesnt even have hdmi although its 23 inch and above counterparts have it and the 26 and up models have dtv tuners

While this may be true of the CRT-based TVs, I'm not convinced that NTSC-only tuners were a feature of flatscreen TVs in 2006.
