I'm trying to change the sat dish setup on my receiver. When I select menu, the only setup option goes straight to signal testing. I know that there is a setup that allows me to select dish type and then settings by zip code, but I can't get the receiver to give me that list. I tried turning the receiver on and off and resetting it. Does the dish have to be connected to the receiver in order to get that menu choice?

If it is an H20, or an HR20, then you want to hit menu, then setup, then system setup, then satellite, then repeat satellite setup, then hit dash, then select your dish, either multi5 or Slim3, if you have a SWM it will automatically set it for you and you cannot change it, good luck, as long as you dont have an older RCA or Hughes/Phillips, this should be the normal practice.
