If nothing has changed, why would I be searching for Sat 1 and Sat 2 is fine? I was literally just sitting here watching MSNBC and both of my receivers started looking for Sat 1.

Jamey,
Something is loose.

Try switching the cables in the back of the receiver. If you get sat 1 back and sat 2 is gone follow that cable & check all its fittings. Then try switching to another feed from the LNB if possible. Probably is not a dish pointing issue.

If nothing changes call DTV and ask for the busted box department. They will want to try some resets, which could help.

Joe

Busted Box Department? Are they down the hall from the Horizontally Challenged Dish Department?

Spy,
The signs on the doors are the reasons for the guards at the gates. If the inmates ever get control. . .

I think I can share at least this much. Sometimes in the busted box department they just put the busted boxes in new shipping containers. Sometimes, (often) the new HSP techs send boxes back with a busted notation when they are ok.

The cure for excess horizontal dependency is ...elevation. Their door was open during a tech meeting.

I think others may be reading these communications.

Joe

Sounds like you got it.

Now for some real fun........Disconnect the cables from the box, get an old lamp cord and splice the lamp cord, wire nut the splice to the coax and plug into to the nearest electric outlet. Let 'em chew. They will be shocked to discover you are on to them.

Better not. The 120 volts is way more than the LNB will take and will probably melt your multiswitch and set your house on fire.

Hmmmmm?

A little harsh. However....a few traps...some Louisana Hot Sauce....may have a plan.

People everywhere eat a lot of things. I was thinking some Louisiana Hot Sauce might not be on a squirrel's diet. I haven't caught them eating through my cable yet, but I will.
