Sam sir-ts160 OTA without satellite

Hello,

I have the Samsung sir-ts160 with a married card. Can I be able to keep watching the OTA highdef without hooking up to directv satellite all the times and without a subscritions. I was able to watch OTA HIDEF for two days. But if I remove the satellite-in cable from the dish, my tv goes black the day after. It will re-install the guide if I reset the receiver and everything is good again.

My question is "can I be able to keep the ota hidef without hooking the cable to the back of my receiver all the time" ?

Go to the setup menu and select a dish type of "No dish". The receiver will reboot after you save this option. You should be able to unplug the satellite in cable and still keep the OTA channels after the reboot has completed.
