Anybody in Roseville, Antelope area of Sacramento want to help a newbie aim my dish, I have my 30" dish mounted, KU LNB with Digipower motor, trying to tune in something or at least get a signal. I don't have an FTA box, but I'm using the WinTV Hauppauge Nova-S-Plus PC card. I have the Dish mounted south in the same direction as my old Dish 500 was pointed when I had DirectTV. Moved all around by hand using a Satellite tracker, but I'm not getting no love. Anybody willing to help the new guy, we can drink some Corona's over it, or what ever you like to drink.

Thanks
Mark

I would be happy to lend a hand as soon as we return from the NRB in Nashville. Be back in town next Thursday. PM me and we can work out a schedule.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

Fish on!

Follow the instructions here to get started:

How to install an HH-Mount Motor? Applies to DG240-SM3D22-STABHH100-HH120-Motech-SG2100

I think your true south satellite in Sacramento would be Galaxy 10R at 123 degrees West. Directv is at 101 degrees West so you are looking too far East for your true South satellite. Also, make sure you set your lo frequency correctly, 10750 if regular ku lnbf or 10600 if using universal ku lnbf.

Thanks for the info Photoman, I will check those settings, Brian I will email you, let me know if you have some time next week to take a look, don't worry my Dish is on a tripod, not on the roof
