RV Satelite options with Dish

What options does Dish offer for a customer that has the Dish service at their home and also has an RV with a satelite. My RV has a roof mounted satelite that I usee when traveling away from my home. Are network channels available. Thanks Don

Dish can no longer service RV's with distant networks. If you camp locally, your local stations will still work. If you want network stations when you are outsdie your area you may get them on your Dish hardware with an RV subscription to All American Direct.

While that is true, you can order Distant service using a RV exemption from NPS, they lease transponder space on Dish Networks satellite. They also allow you to use the same receiver that you use to receive your Dish Network service.

So, yes Dish can't sell Distant services to you but you CAN use your Dish Network receiver and subscribe to distant service from NPS.

I did say exactly that.

Note however that you will no longer have any 'National' PBS service available. I just dropped my Superstations Pack and they dropped my national PBS service at the same time and would not restore it even with an RV Waiver.

All American Direct does not offer PBS so as an RVer, you are out of luck getting PBS except for OTA where you are traveling or watching your Receiver at home via the Internet using a Slingbox, etc....
