especially considering its a H transponder ;)

Also considering the south has had tons of rain and the uplink is in Chattanooga TN that might have something to do with it

Doggone! I was wondering why it was so hard to get in! LOL!

Thanks for correcting me, Ice.

I edited my posts so that the "polkalarity" was correct.

"Polkalarity" is a typo, but it sounded humorous, so I just left it in here as it sounded amusing.

I know why I typed vertical as opposed to horizontal, and I apologize to anyone who tried it that way, I won't explain the scenario of my mistake, just that it was my mistake. Please pardon me for a rather dumb error. I am sure that most everyone caught it anyway, I hope.

I tried both vertical and horizontal polkalarity and still had no results. Right now on my motorized dish, RTN is not there. On my fixed PrimeStar it's 70 SQ. But the motor dish works perfect on everything else. So RTN must want the dish to be tilted an odd angle or the LNB closer or further away from the dish. I gave up on the motor dish getting RTN a long time ago. So going to leave well enough alone!

Bubba,

Other than a few minor tweaks up/down or left and right, you will NOT be able to improve on this issue. If everything else is coming in good, leave it alone and just grin and bear it with the RTV channels. It sincerely will do very little good, I assure you.

And please, so not go out and buy a larger dish expecting to improve this signal. It won't happen! I had the same problems with a 76 CM dish as I do with a 1.2 M dish. The only advantage I have found is that a rain storm doesn't kill the signal so easily, but nothing else.

Some slight improvements might be achieved, but it isn't worth the expense. Not in my opinion. I have relegated myself to simply taking them (the RTV signal) when I am able to, for now.

Please don't spend your money on anything elaborate until a good stable fix has been found. Unless you want to be the researcher for this, the guinnea pig of it, save your dough for now. JMO

I had the NBC color bars at 76% on the Traxis, but no RTV. I went out and hit the turnbuckle a quarter turn to raise the BUD and the RTN jumped into the 50s, went to that 4560 SR and now it's in the high 60s. I am satisified.......for now.

Thanks for the advice. No worries, it ain't broke so I'm not going to fix it. :)
Now that everything is working good, Ms. Bubba takes a real dim view of any experiments. Her dance show on ABC (KTWO) started tonight, 'Prancing With the Stars'. Besides I'm hitting RTN with the old PrimeStar dish that was mounted on the house when I purchased it.

Congrats there Diamond Jim!
