KAUN-LP/42 (Sioux Falls) and KOTA-DT (Rapid City) have signed up to carry Equity Media's "Retro Television Network." KAUN is currently an ION affiliate and will switch to RTN in March. Though KAUN is a low-power station, it is carried on most cable systems in the Sioux Falls market. Meanwhile, RTN will likely be the first subchannel in the Rapid City market when it launches on KOTA-DT this summer. There's no word whether RTN will be carried on KOTA's satellite stations in Lead, SD, Scottsbluff, NE, and Sheridan, WY.

I've already got WSB-DT 2.2 from Atlanta with RTN. Getting WRBL-DT 3.? will be a great addition. They currently (I just looked) only have 2 streams running, 3.1 for HD and 3.2 for First Alert 3 (24-7)Weather. They will have to add a new stream, hope it doesn't take a year?

H.264 is a wonderful codec, but unfortunately it does require a state of the art PC to decode. The advantage is that it retains impressive video quality, even under heavy compression.

Iceberg, How well does that 8x1 work for you? I thought about going that way, but decidec on 2 - 4x1 with a 0/22kHz switch. Currently only have 5 lnb, but it seems that no matter the config, I occassionally get a 'no signal' indication when changing channels, even if they are on the the lnb. Presently using the 0/22 on one of the 4x1 ports to switch between 119 and 110 lnbs. Don't have the 2nd 4x1 in the picture yet. All lnbs are standard, no universals at this time. I see Evansville, IN is going with RTN, but they are too far away for me, since I am near Indianapolis. later.....El_Viejo
