Roy Jones, Jr. VS Tito Trinidad

Mr. salsadancer7:
I was born and [REARED] in Ponce, Puerto Rico not to mention well educated. BTW hogs and chicken are [raised] in Puerto Rico, too.

I am very happy for you and your excellent education. You two will make a beautiful couple! Oh and by the way, I hear some of THE BEST hogs and chickens are raised in Puerto Rico, I am in good company.;) But maybe you didn't know that because you were too busy getting your good education abroad...

Mr. salsadancer7:
The point is:
child* rearing is the CORRECT English expression or proper grammar specifically the correct verb. Raising animals is also correct. Humans are reared and animals are raised. It is popularly accepted for people to say they were raised. The fact that it is popularly accepted it does NOT MEAN it is correct Mr. salsadancer7. The Miami street English will never be grammatically correct.
BTW the tone of your message is NOTED, Sir.
Thank you
*child is used for the grammatical purpose ONLY.

LMAO.....Again, this forum is for fun. And I will take ALL of your points under advisement....but if I wanted to talk to my mother, I would have called her.

I wanted to point out, that when there is a pause in a statement/sentence, say like this one:

"The fact that it is popularly accepted it does NOT MEAN it is correct Mr. salsadancer7"

You are suppose to place a comma after the word, "accepted", because you use a comma near the end of a sentence to separate contrasted coordinate elements or to indicate a distinct pause or shift.

But of course, you knew that......

Using Commas

- You live in a glass house.....you should know the rest;)
- You are no better than anyone else in this site. Stop acting like you THINK
you are...
- And if you want ANY kind of positve response to ANY of your post, I suggest,
and this is ONLY A SUGGESTION NOW, I suggest that you try not to be so
defensive about posters disagreeing with your opinons. There will ALWAYS
be posters that will disagree with your opinion. THAT, my friend, is a fact of
life that you will have to get use to.

**Correctly stated: You are supposed(past participle)
"accepted", because you use a comma near the end of a sentence to separate contrasted coordinate elements or to indicate a distinct pause or shift.

Correctly: You are NOT any better...
Stop acting like you THINK

**Correctly: --if you want any kind of positive response to any of your posts(plural form is correct)...

***opinions, again a simple word to spell-you managed to butcher IT...
There will ALWAYS
be posters that will disagree with your opinion. THAT, my friend, is a fact of
life that you will have to get use to.
Mr. salsadancer7:
Just to get things straight, Sir:
Please do NOT include the word friend in the same sentence with you linked to me. I am NOT your friend and quite frankly I do NOT have ANY desire for your friendship. I have an enormous respect for the word friendship and its concept.
I value friendship a great deal and I do NOT take it for granted, Sir.
LAMAO is your trademark, so what? The tone of your message is noted.
I disagree with your NOT so eloquent grammar lecture. You are definitely NOT qualified to do so Mr. salsandancer7. Your punctuation remark can go either way. Again I tell you what I told the lower ranking people when I was in the Marine Corps I made sure I had a good regulation haircut before I told a PFC to get one.
The point is look at your grammar(verb conjugation), sentence construction and spelling before you think you have a case to correct me. There are few flaws in your post Sir and I will delightfully point them out to you "Don Perfecto". Please check above next to the two asterisks. I apologize for having to cut in between, Sir.
Thank you
