Mine looks great, but I have the 4K Stick. That might make a difference.
Having used both the Firestick 4K and the previuos model, the 4K is significantly quicker, and that's the one I'd get even for 1080 or 720 material.

Yes, you can use a Firestick to replace a Joey assuming you have decent Wi-Fi in your home and the TV has an available HDMI port. The Dish Anywhere app is not as responsive as a Joey but for many people that doesn't matter, especially on a TV that doesn't get a lot of use. I would recommend trying out the Firestick and DishAnywhere before you get rid of the Joey.Does a Firestick replace a Joey? I have DISH tv and I pay $10month for a Joey and $15month for Hopper. From what I understand the Firestick will help me eliminate the Joey? I'm not tech savy so trying to understand all these extra devices that DISH charges me for. The customer service rep mentioned getting a Firestick to save money on my monthly bill. Do I lose special features/benefits not having a Joey and does a Firestick give me additional value.

Is the Firestick and DishAnywhere two seperate things? Do I need both? I don't know the lingo and not a tech guy.
There are several differences between whats are on each unit. Being so inexpensive, that is why I have both.DishAnywhere is not available for a Roku.

The FireStick is the hardware you need to purchase then you download the DishAnywhere app (software) onto the FireStick to allow the FireStick to connect to your Hopper and act as the replacement for your Joey.Is the Firestick and DishAnywhere two seperate things? While watching a live channel on the firestick Dish Anywhere app, can the hopper 3 display a different live channel on the primary TV?
