Roberto Alomar may have AIDS

True, but isn't it a fact that Robby does have AIDS? If that's already out there and public knowledge, what does he have to hide?

I think he's denied having AIDS (I'll try and get a cite)....If he does NOT have AIDS, then this girl could potentially have to pay big $$$. That's why its worrysome...you don't make a claim like that unless you know it to be true.

Alomar is one the truly dispicable baseball players of this generation IMO. While I certainly don't hope he has AIDS I can't say that I wish Alomar too well. Is it wrong to say I hope he has syphollis?

What? Why is he despicable? And before you type casting because he has AIDS, he has admitted before that he was rapped by 2 men in Mexico. (Not sure if that's how he contracted AIDS, but just saying).

Spitting in an umpire's face over something as trivial as a called 3rd strike would qualify. And getting a slap on the wrist for it. He should have gotten suspended for the playoffs that year and half the next season. I don't care if a player hits .400 and wins the triple crown you intentionally spit in someone's face you are a punk in my book.

Your right. There is no reason to spit in someone's face. That was wrong. But in Robby's case, it seemed like an isolated incident. One time he lost control. No need to hate the guy for life and wish him diseased by STD's.

I believe having unprotected sex while knowilngly being an HIV/AIDS carrier is a crime in some (if not all) states. I may be wrong, though.

you are correct sir.
this has been one incredible week for sports news. one after the other and it's only Wednesday. wow.

A despicable act, but not a despicable person. At the time, Alomar claimed that he was provoked by things that John Hirschbeck (the umpire) said. Davey Johnson, the Orioles' manager lended credence to Alomar's version in his reply when he was asked about it. Johnson said, "I think they're both guilty." And yes, I believe there are certain things that a person can say to you that would provoke you to spit in his face. But now that's all water under the bridge. They're friends now, as someone said earlier, and Alomar has donated money to Hirschbeck's foundation dedicated to fighting ALD.

WEWS in Cleveland reported that a doctor in Cleveland has confirmed that he treated Alomar for AIDS. This is troubling for two reasons:

1. Because they had a residence in Cleveland, as was stated in the lawsuit, he could be charged with a felony in Ohio for not disclosing his HIV status to a sexual partner.

2. The un-named doctor violated Alomar's HIPPA privacy rights for disclosing that information without the patient's consent.

Thank you! I am sure there is not ONE PERSON in here that has not done something ONCE that they are ashamed of and feel pretty stupid about. Other than that ONE incident, he and the WHOLE Alomar family are nothing but class acts. The prove that DAILY with charity and the time the Alomar family give back in Puerto Rico.

And have YOU been a role model all your life? Perfect to the tee? NEVER done anything wrong?! How about any of YOUR favorite athletes...how many with a few fingers can you count with that would fall anywhere remotely close to perfect?

Is this what has become of the sports fan....you make a mistake....maybe even two and suddenly, you are 'the scum of the earth', a "punk"??!! You can say that IF there is some history of this kind of behavior....but a couple of incidents and you are ALREADY labeled??!!

People......these are HUMAN BEINGS....not aliens. They eat, drink, sleep, brush their teeth, use the bathroom and put on their pants NO DIFFERENT than YOU or I. We have NO CLUE about their persoanllives really OUTSIDE of the court or playing field...and suddenly we can judge them AS PEOPLE just because they can hit, catch, score a goal or run for 60 yard touchdowns??!! So BECASUE they make 1000 times more money than we do...suddenly WE are judge, jury AND excutioner on their lives OUTSIDE the playing field?? EVERYTHING happens for a reason in life....YOU, ME and everyone in here do things because of something else. JUST because they have a certain gift from their creator....does no make them any more or less people and you and me. Look in the mirror before you start throw stones from your glass houses.....

This is Crap just because he is a baseball players and this is the hot topic now since A Rod said that he juice himself! And the media wants more baseball players! This is a big fat lie! Why the hell she waited all this time?
