Tragic news if he does have AIDS.
As for the claim by the GF, it's only an accusation at this point, so I will reserve judgment until after the case is heard.
BTW, what is up with the Sport's World lately? All these personal Fu*k ups within the last month.........

-Miguel Tejada charged with lying to congress.
-Barry Bonds' home being raided by 20 Feds.
-NHLer Sean Avery getting treated as a leper after saying "sloppy seconds."
-Former class act Manager, Joe Torre releases a tell-all book about his former team.
-Nude porn scene slipped during Comcast's broadcast of the Super Bowl.
-And now the accusation of a former girl friend that Robby Alomar knowing slept with her while he was full aware he had AIDS?! WTF IS GOING ON IN THIS WORLD!?

That's alright, HD. P & C report this weekend and soon we will smell the grass and hear the snap of the mitt and the crack of the bat. We will slowly take the month of March to tune out the rest of the world. Then on April 5th at 8PM ET (or thereabout) at Citizen's Bank Ballpark an umpire will call out "PLAY BALL!!!"
We will be lost again for the season (and for those of us fortunate enough...the post season) and nothing else will matter.

While I'm certainly looking forward to any sign of the Baseball season turning a page on all of this drama, it must be easier for you to make the transition.
My Indians are across country in their new spring home in sunny Goodyear, AZ. And it will be a while until I get to "smell" any grass. It's still winter here in Ohio.
I am counting down the days until April 6th (season opener) and April 10th (home opener) though. Gawd I can't wait!!!!
Well, aside from the weather issue, sometimes I wish I could be a Dodger fan. I live close enough to Dodger Stadium to see the glow of the lights at night. It's maybe 15-20 minute drive East on Sunset Blvd. for me to get there. There have been times in Jan. or Feb. when I have craved baseball so much that I have gone to Dodger Stadium for lunch and sat way up in the top red seats overlooking everything and just listened to the ghosts talking. I could hear Vinny calling Sandy's perfect game and Drydale's consecutive shutout inning record and then Bulldog breaking that record. I tell ya, it gave me chills.
But that was before the sale to McCourt & Co. and the dismantling of all real Dodger tradition. I will never set foot in that stadium again as long as I live.

I'm surprised HD hasn't mentioned that Alomar played four years in Cleveland, and was very productive in 1999 and 2001.
Sabres, this latest news has nothing to do with Robby's playing career. These are very serious allegations and a deadly disease.

I know...the whole story seems very fishy. Let's hope she's just a golddigger and theres no truth to the accusations.
The only thing that makes me nervous (that the accusations are true) is that defamation suits are fairly easy to win when the plaintiff is publicly accused of carrying a STD....I'm sure the ex-gfs lawyer informed her of this fact and they went ahead and filed suit anyway.
True, but isn't it a fact that Robby does have AIDS? If that's already out there and public knowledge, what does he have to hide?
