St Louis Cardinal's third leading all-time win leader, Bob Forsch, has died at the age of 61. Forsch had thrown out the first pitch in the World Series 7th game this year. He is the only Cardinal to have thrown two no-hitters. His first was April 16th, 1978, against the Phillies. I was one of 11,000 plus fans in attendance at Busch II. Bob and his brother Ken, are the only two brothers in baseball history who have thrown no-hit games. Bob was not only known for pitching, but for his batting. Originally a third baseman, he was moved to the mound. Many times, Whitey would utilize Bob to pinch-hit. RIP Bob!!!
