RFD HD now live

I checked this channel out for 2 minutes... lol... reminds me of Farm Film Report with Big Jimme Bob & Billie Saw. Time to head to youtube if you haven't seen these guys blow up real good!

Yet another HD Channel that is not available to PR or USVI customers
Still beating that dead horse. WE know you don't get many of the HD channels but to pop up everywhere to tell us is getting tiring. Sorry just not feeling the pain for you. We know that PR & USVI doesn't get the beam need for the HD that the Conus gets.

Agreed, it's getting old.... do we even know what channel we're 'missing out' on... it's dedicated to rural America. Why on earth would you even want it in PR??? Keeping up with the prices on pork belly futures??? No disrespect towards farmers intended...

So let me see, I have posted I believe in 2 threads, started one of my own, managed to find out with the Dish CSR that we have 4 channels in HD that we seem to be not getting, they they think we should and are working to fix.

But yes to answer your question very familiar with the channel. I get it at my house in NYC in HD

Really? What provider in NYC carries RFD in HD? Not arguing, I just thought that, up to now, only cable in rural areas carried it.

And, while I'm sure not everyone in PR is the same, I would think that RFD-TV would be one of the more interesting and useful channels to people in that locality. Plenty of rural and equine/equestrian stuff.

I would have had it on Time Warner, I think they added when Imus joined and dropped it when he left for the Darth Vader Network. I take it you have never been to PR, lots of farm land . Probably some of the best spit roast pork you will ever get. Considerable expansion has occurred in the production of dairy products, beef, pork, eggs, and poultry, although significant amounts of these products are still imported, primarily from the United States. There is also production of fruits and garden vegetables as well as of starchy vegetables, such as bananas and plantains.

My wife loves the channel. She gets the Grit magazine (which I used to deliver to people's homes when I was a kid) which is very similar in content. I added it ala carte yesterday. I like to watch the reruns of Hee Haw on there and see old String Bean when he was alive (one of the two guys that killed String and his wife is now dead and the other one is EXTREMELY remorseful for what he had done...he would turn the clock back if he could and undo all the damage he did!)

I visited PR a long time ago, but even if I had never been there it should be clear to people that a large part of the island is rural. That's why I was saying that RFD would probably appeal to people in PR more than it would, say, to denizens of NYC or Chicago. It makes sense that TWC carried RFD when Imus was on (although, ironically, CV never did, still doesn't) but I'm pretty sure not the HD version. RFDHD-TV is still pretty hard to come by.

Not impressed. OWN in HD, RFD in HD, etc, etc., yet I PAY for NHL Center Ice and only 1/3 of the games are in HD and NEVER get an explanation from DISH.:rant:

Isn't the explanation that Dish has limited bandwidth for RSN HD content since their RSNs aren't full-time? Which translates into not all games being offered in HD?
