Revolution

So, we have a guy that was driven to this by the death of his son in Afghanistan wanting to keep the power off to prevent those types of wars, yet how many billions died because the power went out?

No, I believe he wanted to punish Afghanis (only). Remember, Rachel said they developed for good purposes but others, including Randall obviously, saw the potential as a weapon.

Yeah, but generally speaking, the Afghans don't have electricity,at least the ones outside of Kabul & other large urban centers don't. So it's not like this weapon hurt Afghans at all.

But in the eyes of the show's creators the Afghans have an electricity grid servicing 100% of their population and are a 1st world country. LOL

Yes. That part doesn't hold water in the real world unless they wanted to knock out all the old Russian T-54/T-62 tanks. Wouldn't do much for small arms and RPG-7's.

I think we can assume this was a " power-eating " virus that escaped and attacked the host. LOL

How does a "power-eating" computer virus attack/affect non-connected devices (cars, etc, etc, etc...). Unless, in that universe, all devices are connected, or something in "the tower" actually dampens all electrical fields except for the things near the pendants?

Makes you wonder why Randall showed up in a Cutlass Calais.... Was it stored in a Faraday cage ? :D On the other hand, vehicles are able to be made to work after the blackout, i.e. the Humvees that Randall and his escorts showed up in.

I would imagine he had a pendant or two, or other alternatives, seeing they are the ones with the answers, it could be most anything.

Another problem I see is that all these old vehicles are still in good shape. They can be stored in a building, but there would not be any climate control since that would require electricity. Rubber in the tires would probably be shot.

"Neville is faced with danger and difficult decisions; Rachel embarks on a dangerous journey to the tower as she tries to restore the power and her self-respect."

Don't forget to rate this episode over at IMDb.com: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2667178/

Perhaps we'll be treated to a little Led Zeppelin?

The big question is how did all these people survive in a world without modern farming practices? After all it was modern farming that allows this country not only to feed itself ,but most of the rest of the world with our wheat /corn exports. There are so many reasons why this show is not credible, but the funniest thing is why am I okay with a Zombie Apocalypse on The Walking Dead , but not when it comes to the end of our world with no electricity in Revolution?

Well the show addressed this somewhat... Huge wars, running low on bullets from killing so many people... Probably only 1/10 to 1/100 of the worlds population survived this. That is why they are always going into primitive low population villages.

I was hoping so, they did last year and let you know ahead of time ... guess well see on Monday.

They are still rolling excellent episodes. Have enjoyed each and every one of them so far.

There were probably enough food to last some people for a while as they tried to figure out a solution to feeding who survived. More people will farm when times get tough. They probably have people in charge of food just like they have people assigned to be soldiers and so forth.

My guess as to what happened was that the electromagnetic field was affected causing no electricity in anything. I read about this a while back about how a disruption in electromagnetic fields could cause this to happen.

I can grow a nice garden with a few hands,backs,sweat,and of course,hoes.

I do like the fact, that the show seems to have more of an edge to it lately.
