But you are not their core customer...not even close. The move they made played exactly to the core customers...the ones so politely labeled as "Voom haters" here by folks with little tact.
A few thousand people may actually leave (not just complain) over the Voom issue...not even a blip on the radar. Dish, however, immediately picks up umpteen million monthly to put into mainstream programming that WILL attract more core customers.
Voom has been a mess for Dish. They were destined for bankruptcy...Dish just delayed the inevitable.
Folks in forums sometimes have the difficult task of stepping outside the box and realizing that forum users are NOT the mainstream (or core user). In fact, it is the complete opposite. We are not even 1%ers...not even 1/10 1%ers...
An entertainment network custom designed for audiophiles and videophiles is doomed to failure as you cannot market a nationwide service tailored for the 1%ers. They tried...it was called Voom...and it went straight to the junk pile.
