Works good for what it does but if what its missing is what you need, "hope" may not do it.

If anyone wants to buy mine (3 weeks old). 100USD, PM me. Thanks.

No visible changes. I guess when they said that motor/switch support would be in the next release, they meant the next release to Sadoun, vs. wherever the heck these other releases are coming from. (They're probably only upgrading the CAM emulators.)

I haven't tested extensively, but I think I may be rid of the erratic remote control behavior that showed up a few versions ago. (I thought it was the buttons going bad, til someone else said that theirs started acting funny with a certain version.)

I'm not talking about the sensitivity issue, I'm talking about pushing a key and having it read as a completely different key.

...Or having the press delayed, pressing it again and having the receiver finally register the two or three key presses all at once so that you have to press more keys to reverse it.

It's been a long time since I checked, because I bought a network media player, but the last time I checked the SatHawk would only play MP3 files, BMP, and JPG -- no video at all. In other words, I don't know why they wasted time and space on the media player function.

I thought that Sadoun was the only one in the US selling the SatHawk type receiver but while checking out another FTA forum!i noticed that Hypermegasat.com is now selling the solomend which is the same as the sathawk.

PVR800 Smoked

I paid for this unit in Mar and received it in May. Except for the touchy remote, I was pleased with it. Got up this morning and smelled smoke. I traced it it to the Sathawk. I'm using it for a door stop now. Like they say..."you get what you pay for".

Btw...I replaced it with my back up (Traxis 3500) receiver and it works fine.

Anyone ever have a problem with floating platforms messing up the dish?
