It will fail.I believe that one day downloading a HD movie will be viable but not until the internet is at least at 10mb speed. Until then, BD will be the way!
I see no real change from the day before Paramount went to HD DVD only.Hey, lay off Vurbano. I am sure he is hurting like alot of other staunch HD-DVD supporters. He knows that this is the first nail in HD-DVD's coffin. Why rub it in. If it were an announcement of Warner going HD-DVD I am sure I would be shocked and feeling a little smacked right now. So give Vurbano some space -- he'll be back with the first FUD saying Disney will be going purple -- you just wait and see.
I sure and heck hope it does! I know i won't support Down loading a movie oh yea and hurry up and watch it then poof it's gone!It will fail.
Wow, you pull out an article from August 2006!!!! Man, you are really hurting!! The laser problem was over in April 2007 -- where have you been?
It will fail.
get some PTWHOOOO Hoo. My AIM away message is letting all know this fantastic news. I'm sorry Vurbano.
GO BD
What moron wants to download a movie for a fee and have it disappear after a few days? I own my BD's and HD DVD's and can play them forever. Downloading is an asinine idea and there is no "right" price for something I will not own.OK- Just for grins and giggles, what are your thought processes behind this?
Have you drunk the M$ kool-aid?
I am trying to figure out if Isaah Thomas or Vurbano is in a greater state of denial.

We certainly agree on that one! What moron wants to download a movie for a fee and have it disappear after a few days? I own my BD's and HD DVD's and can play them forever. Downloading is an asinine idea and there is no "right" price for something I will not own.
There - are - no - Americans - at - Bahgdad - airport!...Maybe then Vurbano will believe its over ...
hey now, The point was that Sony makes the blue ray lasers, Not that they were still having production problems.
Other companies build players but Sony supplies them their lasers..
Quit twisting. I already congratulated on the victory. And then made a educated guess to how this will effect the market.
STFU dude.
We certainly agree on that one!

Free Preview - WSJ.comProvisions in the HD DVD's arrangement with Paramount could allow the studio to go back to releasing movies on Blu-ray as early as the end of the year, people familiar with the matter say.
Warner's move could put pressure on Universal Pictures to start releasing DVDs in Blu-ray in addition to, or instead of, HD DVD.
