Need some help , I do not have the $$$$ for 1920/1080 HD so which will be the best bang for my $$ ,1368/768 , 1280/1024 , 1024/720 or 1024/1024 , in a 42" Plasma , Thanks , Al Brown

Welcome Al, First - What is your Budget? Also as far as I know all Plasma are a 720p display. Just stay away from anything labled ED.

Should have said 40 to 42 " LCD and or Plasma so I can keep the screen height the same as my 32" 4/3 SD receiver .
My budget is apx. 3K wife permitting ..
P.S. Some info you asked for I am a retired TV Camera Person and Audio Eng / Tape Editor who has worked for Columbia Records , Atlantic Records and many more and last but not least the United Nations . AB

Heck for $2200 you can get an industry leading 250" HD projector (1cu ft / 14lbs) and screen. To heck with puny 42" displays.
