Hi guys, I’m making some equipment changes and had a question.

I currently have a 522 in my family room that I will be upgrading to a 622 or 722.

I have a 501 in my basement that will be replaced by my 522.

Now for the question, the basement currently has one coax cable running to the 501. Will the installer have to run a brand new coax cable to the 522 so that it can have access to the 2 tuners, or can I just run a splitter and run the line myself?

Thanks,

YOU CAN"T RUN A SPLITTER. What do you currently have for equipment? DISH will probably replace your dish with a new one for HDTV and hopefully you will get DPP technology. With DPP you can use a single coax with a separator on the 522.

622 lost all dvr programs!
