Replaced Receivers for Locals

Quick question...what happens to the receivers that are switched out when you get the new dish and locals installed? I'm getting a new Tivo to replace the Phillips Tivo that D* says isn't able to receive locals. My Hughes HDVR2 will be able to receive locals. Any thoughts? Do you just "take the good" with the "bad" ?

Which market are your locals in? Do you know if your Philips is a series 2 Tivo? How new is it?

If it is a series 2 then it's just like the HDVR2 and should also see the 72.5 satellite if that's where your locals are on.

I have a DSR704 and was told by the CSR that it has to be replaced. We'll see what happens when the installer gets here tomorrow.
