Weird situation....did some reorganizing and I had on one motorized setup a 2x1 switch
-port 1 went to KU LNB
-port 2 was to a cable for Nimiq1

The signal (not quality) on the KU was always between 68-70. This is on the .4 Universal

Removed the switch and went receiver---motor---lnb and now the signal is 80+. The quality is still the same.

Why would the signal meter change so much after removing the switch?

I have another setup with a switch, and the KU band has signal of 80-82 all the time. This is a standard KU LNB.

Insertion Loss in the switch maybe? Maybe a bad switch? Try swapping out your switch with no loss for the one that has loss and see what happens, that way you can see if that is the problem.

tried other switches...it seems like the Uiversal LNB does that...like I say it doesnt hinder signal quality, just the signal on the meter :)
