Remote or receiver problem??

722 receiver, remote--5.3 IR for TV1.
Today, when using remote, the response time on screen is very slow. Changed batteries and same thing happens. Is this a possible remote problem or receiver problem. Remote works OK to control TV and Bose sound system.
If remote problem, how do I go about getting the CORRECT remote for this unit.

Try using the front panel buttons on the receiver to see if it has the same delay. If the front panel buttons have the same delay, it's the receiver.

A reboot should get everything working at normal speed (unplug the receiver for 15 seconds).

Thanks Matt--Got ready to do that tonight and remote was working fine. I'll keep it in mind in case it does it again.
