Remote not working- help?

My remote for my second tv has stopped working while using in the other room. It works fine if it is right in front of the receiver, and it works for the tv, so batteries are fine. It used to work great in the other room, nothing has been changed so not sure what the problem is. Can anyone help?

Don't assume the batteries are fine. Change them.

make sure the antenna with the red flag on it is straight up on the back of the STB... also if you have an atenuator ... remove it
