PROGRAMMING LIMITED MODE ON REMOTES... NO EXCUSE!!!
Past documents post an unethical means of programming remotes into limited mode that proved to be both a hassle and time consuming for the installer during fast paced installations to prevent the common customer education trouble call that plagues both the elderly and technically challenged customer. Limited mode was introduced to restrict the remotes capability of accidentally changing the actual television channel off what the television was initially setup for to receive signal from the satellite receiver.
On February 22, 2006 Field Service Specialist Ken P. of DNSC developed and documented the first ethical 4 step "Channel Scan" process with "Limited Mode" during an A.T.M. that could prove to save corporate millions if properly enforced.
He adds, its thoughtless and easy but most importantly, (especially for subcontractors) its not time consuming! Theirs no Excuse!
Programming Limited Mode With Channel Scan
1.) Press (TV) until all mode lights illuminate
2.) Press 0 0 1 1
3.) Press (#)
4.) Continue with normal "Channel Scan" process
Removing Limited Mode With Channel Scan
1.) Press (TV) until all mode lights illuminate
2.) Press 0 0 1
3.) Press (#)
4.) Continue with normal "Channel Scan" process
