You need an UHF remote...as opposed to the IR that you are now using. If there is not one available for your receiver, you can purchase a IR/UHF converter. You can probably find one at DishStore.net.
If UHF is not an option, there are several products on the market for distributing IR. One option is to use an IR receiver and an emitter. They do require running wires from the receiver to the emitter.
You can use the pyrmids that are sold at many stores such as radioshack, best buy, target, circuit city,. You cab get them between 30 and 50 bucks depending on which brand you choose.
