I just received the HR20 and the remote seems to be a little non-responsive at times. There are periods where I have to push a button a few times before the receiver picks it up. This is terribly annoying when I'm in the guide and I try to jump to a channel range, but the remote will only pickup the first number or two. Also, the remote will "stick" at times (ie, push 2 and 22 will pop up). By the way, I have the remote set up as RF.

I had this problem with the HR10 when I first got it, but the issue diminished as time went on to the point that it disappeared altogether and worked fine.

Does anyone else have this issue? Is this common and will it rectify itself like the HR10 did?

Just had a new install today and the remote works fine. No pause.

I've had mine for 8-9 months and the only thing I have a problem with is turning on my components.....have to push power 2-3 times for TV to turn on/off...same for surround....the remote design is a pain with the placement of the buttons and no backlight, but I guess it's a small price to pay!

Do you have an HR20-100 or 700?. I had a horrible time with the RF and the remote my HR20-100 came with(RC34). It exhibited the same issues youare having.

I read about the RC64RB, that Directv is selling and decided to try that, since the RC34 didn't have a good code for my Onkyo receiver. It ended up having the codes for my Onkyo and is also backlit. However, the surprising part is, the RF works like a charm with my HR20-100.

There must be something with the RC34, that comes with the box and the HR20-100, because it's horrible in RF mode. The RC64RB is night and day, compared to the RC34.
