I'm building my HD enviroment around this.

Sony 42" Grand WEGA™ LCD Rear Projection HDTV
KDF-42WE655

I'd like some ideas please.

Using DTV now - have 3LNB dish already up.
Looking at VOOM but migth keep DTV - Startup cost for VOOM is $800.00

Have OTA antenna - used for local channels awhile back. Sometimes still do when storms roll through.

Looking for nice HD receiver - Like that Caller ID option but not necessary.

Start throwing it at me....

Thanks

Welcome to Satelliteguys!! We're glad you're here.

I would highly recommend getting Directv's Hughes HTL-HD receiver. I own one and it has been the most stable receiver I've owned. I've had both DISH's and Voom's receivers and both had problems. The only downside is it doesn't have on screen caller ID. You can get one for around $200-300 depending on who you go through. Heck, you may even get a better deal than that through Directv.

If money is no object Sony also has a Directv HD receiver that I've heard is excellent.

Directv is rumored to have more HD channels coming next summer when they launch their new satellite.
