Server Issues. We are very aware that there have been system issues the past few days. In troubleshooting the system, it has been determined that the issue is at our provider and is hardware related. As of 12:05 PM ET our provider has moved us to a new server.
Things seem to be running better on this new server. However in trying to diagnose the issue (before finding out it was a hardware issue) we made some system changes which we need to undo. So if you find any issues or errors please let us know in the Operations Center Forum.

You can transfer programs to an external drive, but they can only be played back thru the dvr. The external drive si formatted by the dvr and cannot be played on any other device. Once you pay the 1 time fee you can use as many drives as you want, but only one at a time.
You can move programs from the DVR to and EHD (archiving).The DVR has to be an HD VIP series....622/722/722K/612. A$40.00 activation fee is necessary for the function.
You can access recordings made on one DVR on a second DVR in the household.
