I just upgraded to the HD and am getting an HR20. To ensure that I have all of the cables and whatnot I reviewed the online system manual and have a question.

Recording to VCR - I assume that you could also record to a recordable DVD player? I find it odd that in this advanced equipment they mention a VCR when most of us have thrown ours out. Must admit still have one so the kids can watch old Disney movies but they have not used it for 6 months or so.

Can I record to a recordable DVD player and what are the simple connections?

Thanks

Sure, you can record to dvd. All of the outputs are live all of the time. Just remember, most dvd recorders can't record in hd. The best you will get is widescreen 480p, which will still look pretty good!
