Record Timer Shuts Openbox S9 Off?

Ok so I searched on here and didn't find anything about this one so here goes.

I've got two Openbox S9 receivers and both are running that C2HS2-11-08-24:0679CMT firmware that's available here. One unit will work fine with the program timer but the other one will shut down whenever I set it to record? I've even copied the files from the working receiver and installed them on the one that's horking up and it still horks up?

Anyone else seen this problem?

Not personally but someone reported it before. These boxes are made in so many different places with same name, sometimes different parts are used.

From all the searches I've done, it appears timers were a problems with the S9 STB from day one. My S9 appears to be recording a ramdon assortment of channels even though I do not have a HDD or USB stick connected. I have tried turning OFF the timers but seem to be stuck in some kind of loop. Also tried many versions of FW but to no avail. Also curious the main time set up is dd/mm/yyyy yet the timers require mm/dd/yyyy format. This makes no sense to me.
Fortunately this anomaly does not affect viewing the programs. I tried to record to USB stick and it works OK.
